Neo Print Prize 2012

Just heard that my linocut 'Doll Face' has been selected for the Neo Print Prize in Bolton.

The neo:printprize is part of a series of high profile exhibitions that have been planned by Bolton based neo:studios, a not-for-profit artist led organisation founded in 2007. It is an open exhibition inviting work from artists of all ages and nationalities who practice contemporary visual art in the UK and intends to raise awareness of new trends and directions in printmaking by showcasing excellence and innovation in contemporary British printmaking. The independent jury: Sean Rorke, Artistic Director of the prestigious Hot Bed Press print workshop and studios, Salford, Manchester and Tim Dolphin, the former Head of Printmaking at Manchester Metropolitan University, who also award the main prizes, selected works anonymously from an open submission. The prize aims provide a platform for artists and to bring to Bolton the best contemporary art from across the UK.

An exhibition showcasing the work of all the final shortlisted artists will be held in the exciting neo:gallery22, The Market Place Shopping Centre, Bolton, opening Thursday 13th September. An Award Ceremony will also be held in the gallery Saturday 15th September at 2pm, all welcome! The exhibition continues to Sunday 28th October, viewing times Thurs - Sun, 11am - 5pm.
